This walkthrough shows how Spider-Man can capture the Shocker, known as Herman Schultz, during web-swinging around the Chinatown.
The Mask
Peter Parker enquires Martin Li, an expert in ancient Chinese masks, about the Demon Mask he found in Don't Touch the Art mission (Walkthrough Part 4) at F.E.A.S.T shelter.
Day to Remember
Peter Parker realises that Dr Octavious lab has been shut down under the orders from Norman Osborn, the mayor of New York. Dr Otto suggest to Peter to find another job, working with Harry Osborn's research project since they would not have funds after this event.
Harry's Passion Project
This first of a series of research missions introduced to Spider-Man to earn Research Tokens as rewards.
It's been a while since I played a multiplayer co-operation game. That was in the year 2000, playing a Fighting Force game on Playstation One.
Well, unfortunately this post is not about Playstation One games. Instead we're going to take a look at the upcoming game on Nintendo Switch; the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.
Few pointers:
Multiplayer Co-Op Mode
The game is designed with up to four players to co-operate for a single objective. Similar to other co-op fighting games, you'll be tested on your work-rate and ability to work as a team, using the abilities that adds value to the overall objective.
Marvel Characters
The game has 26 characters excluding unlockable ones. All 26 characters have different fighting styles and abilities for you to explore.
Level-Up
The beauty of this game is that you'll have the chance to develop the character. Missions and side missions allow you to earn
coins to upgrade your character's ability and perhaps weapons as well.
Storyline
The game's storyline is build around the X-Men's environment, most notably the Xavier's academy. The super-villains, most notably Thanos and Magneto will be part of the storyline, which adds a bit of movie atmosphere during the game.
My Opinion
As a Marvel fan, I would definitely buy this game as I get the chance to explore the Marvel characters. So, that may add better replayability value to the game.
However, the game could be repetitive when performing battles against the enemies. It really depends on how the Marvel Alliance series develop the A.I (Artificial Intelligence) on each battles to strike a balance between fun factor and challenge factor.
Spider-Man is on the mission to repair the third tower, which reveal collectibles, side missions and challenges on the map.
Something Old, Something New
After repairing all three towers in Chinatown. Spider-Man headed to Octavious Lab as Peter Parker to repair his suit.
This walkthrough reveals the new Advanced suit.
FISK Hideout
This mission is for Spider-Man to keep an eye on Wilson Fisk's construction properties under the instruction from Yuri Watanabe. It's also an opportunity for the Web Head to try out new gadgets introduced by his mentor, Dr Octavious.
Landmarking
This mission introduce Spider-Man to new landmarks in the city and also an opportunity for him to brush-up his photography skills from his Daily Bugle days as Peter Parker. The picture of landmarks further calibrates his map to locate more enemy's hideouts later in the game.
Spider-Man
2018 is an amazing action-adventure game influenced by Marvel comics, developed
by Insomniac games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game
features Peter Parker as the main character, who is secretly known as
Spider-Man. You’ll also get to play other characters like Mary Jane Watson and
Miles Morales during the Main game storyline. The best is that you’ll be able
to roam around the city that never sleeps, New York. This article will review
the walkthrough for the Main Game, DLC and some Side missions.
Main Game
The Main
Game covers Peter Parker’s life as Spider-Man. He’s a grown and mature
individual that needs to balance life between college and fighting crimes. The
storyline is straight forward and what intrigue me the most is that you’ll get
the opportunity to unlock Spider-Man’s battle suits, gadgets and skills by
completing main missions and side missions. You’ll encounter many
super-villains and the most difficult part is when you’ll need to encounter two
villains at the same time, for example Electro and Vulture.
DLC: The
City that never sleeps
The
additional downloadable missions, which aims to eliminate Hammerhead and his
thugs in the three DLC series. The three DLCs will reveal Hammerhead’s true
intention with the Maggia group.
The Heist
The Heist
as the name suggest, requires Spider-Man to be stealthier in missions when
approaching Hammerhead’s thugs. I felt the missions are easy relative to other
DLCs since I’m used to play stealth game-based like Metal Gear Solid. Here
Spider-Man is tested on his stealth capabilities, which means equipping him
with stealth skills is crucial.
Turf War
Turf War as
the name suggest, requires Spider-Man to brawl with Hammerhead’s thugs. The
thugs are extremely strong, equipped with stolen Sable’s battle suits.
Spider-Man needs to equipped with high brawling skills and defenses from
attacks like launching missiles. From this DLC onwards, I prefer to use Spider
Bro and Spider Drones combination as you’re surrounded by tough enemies both on
the ground and on the air.
Silver
Lining
Silver
Lining is one of my favorites among the other two DLCs. The DLC encompasses
most characters in Spider-Man PS4, especially Silver Sable. The all out brawl
battle from Turf Wars continues as the game leads to the potential rematch
against Hammerhead. Unlike Turf Wars, Hammerhead’s people are fully equipped
with Sable’s gear making them incredibly strong to beat.
Side
Missions
Taskmaster
& Screwball Challenges
Most
popular side missions that allows you to get those base tokens to upgrade your
Spider-Man level, gadgets and skills. The missions comprise stealth, combat and
web-swinging skills which you’ll need to find the right set-up for Spider-Man.
Personally, I find the combat challenges as the easiest to get to Spectacular
level while other missions tend to get repetitive in nature.
Tombstone
One of the
interesting side mission’s storylines that initially triggered during Demon’s
investigation. In a nutshell, Spider-Man have to complete all the side missions
to eventually face the Tombstone himself. That’s the toughest boss in all side
missions.
All
Recordings
Collecting
all recordings was one of my favourite side missions after Tombstone.
Spider-Man needs to collect all the recording evidences scattered on the New
York city. Once you’ve collected them all, you’ll witness an interesting ending
on Yuri Watanabe.
Immediately after the first mission. Spider-Man quickly heading to his workplace, somewhere around Greenwich. Answering the call as Peter Parker. He'll be introduced to Dr Otto Octavious, the head of Octavious Industries, a small independent company that specialises in developing prostheses.
In this walkthrough, Peter Parker will attempt to repair the damaged arm by taking part in the first available circuit projects.
Keeping the Peace
This mission task Spider-Man to repair a series of surveillance towers throughout the city, after taking a call from Yuri Watanabe.
After repairing the tower, it will reveal break-in crime, assault in progress and Peter Parker's webbed backpacks from high school all over the city.
The Main Event is the first mission of Spider-Man PS4. Here you'll learn the basic controls of web-head from web-swinging to combat.
The scene opens with Peter Parker awakes by the buzz on his mobile phone. You'll get a glimpse of his room apartment with all his utilities.
After changing to Spider-Man, you'll immediately head to the crime scene near the Fisk Tower at Times Square.
Along the journey, the game teaches you some basic controls like web-swinging, web zipping and combat techniques.
At Times Square, you'll be facing Fisk thugs to clear-out the crime scene area and helping out the police.
After that, you'll be heading inside the Fisk Tower to encounter more thugs on the ground level area.
As you proceed up the level, you'll be facing more powerful thugs, for example thugs that uses rocket launchers.
There you'll also investigate on Fisk Tower's surveillance centre in the server room whilst encounter more powerful thugs and learn new tricks.
As Spider-Man proceeds to upper level, he'll need to evacuate people from a small handful of obstacles in a smoke and flame-filled corridors.
Then, the web-head approaches the bomb unit, whom he is deceived by. As Spider-Man realised that those are the corrupted bomb unit, you'll need to take those thugs with new tricks.
Finally, you'll encounter the boss, Wilson Fisk, the owner of the Fisk Tower and whom mastermind this first crime scene.
First, you'll need to destroy the glass-built wall, where Fisk resides in, by pressing R1 and L1.
Then, you'll need to beat Wilson Fisk himself by webbing and performing finisher combos to complete the first mission.
