This chapter is almost entirely set in Onomichi Jingaicho and involves two major boss encounters and a large-scale brawl sequence.
Part 1: The First Conflict
Story Progression: The chapter begins immediately after the conclusion of Chapter 9, with a long cutscene at the Hirose Family Office where the plot thickens.
The Ambush: You'll be forced to engage with a massive wave of enemies in front of the Onomichi Shrine.
Strategy: These are standard thugs, but their numbers and weapons can be overwhelming. Focus on crowd control: grab the nearest enemy and fling them into their allies, and use the soccer kick (Triangle/Y after a knockdown) to quickly take out enemies on the ground.
First Boss Fight: After the first wave is defeated, a cutscene will lead immediately into your first boss fight of the chapter.
🥊 Boss Fight 1: Joon-gi Han
This is a rematch against the leader of the Jingweon Mafia. His fighting style remains fast and focused on quick strikes and blocks.
Strategy: Your previous tactics still apply. Han relies on quick combos and blocks often.
Wait for an overcommitted attack (a wild kick or a charging strike), Quickstep laterally, and immediately counter with a short combo.
Weapons: Utilize any environmental objects you can grab, as these attacks are unblockable.
Extreme Heat: Use your Extreme Heat Mode to land a reliable, high-damage Heat Rush combo. As soon as you see the QTE trigger for his Extreme Heat, be ready to pop your own or focus on defense until his buff wears off.
Maintain patience and focus on landing hits only after he commits to an attack.
Part 2: The Setup and Infiltration
Restock & Office Visit: After the fight, you'll regain movement. Restock on healing items if necessary. Yuta will update Kiryu on the situation.
Hirose Family Office: Head to the Hirose Family Office. Another cutscene will play where Nagumo and the rest of the family arrive, giving you your next destination.
The Docks: Head to the Onomichi Docks to continue the pursuit. A series of cutscenes will take place, leading you to your next major combat sequence.
Part 3: The Cargo Island Gauntlet
You will be automatically transported onto a ship on the ocean, where you immediately face a large number of enemies.
Deck Battle 1 (Minions): You'll face a large group of dozens of minions. Stick to crowd control—grab and throw enemies, or use sweeping attacks to clear space. Your allies will help distract them.
Deck Battle 2 (Mini-Tank): Another wave of enemies will appear, including an exceptionally tough minion named Yu (with a boss-level health bar) and a Tank enemy.
Explosive Barrels: Look for red explosive barrels on the shipping crates. It is highly recommended to grab one of these and throw it at the Tank enemy to instantly (or almost instantly) defeat them.
Prioritize: Take out the Tank first with a barrel, then defeat Yu and the remaining enemies.
The Ambush & Rubble: After a phone call cutscene, your allies will stop following you. Grab a weapon (or a barrel) to clear the next pile of rubble blocking your path.
The Crane Trap: You'll reach an area with shipping containers. Dozens of enemies will attack, and another enemy will drop explosive barrels from a crane above.
Stay Mobile: Your primary focus is movement. Stay on the red shipping containers and avoid the red barrel circles on the ground.
Weaponize Barrels: Grab an explosive barrel (if you can safely reach one) and toss it at the tougher enemies below. Let the dropped barrels do some of your work for you.
Defeat all enemies to clear the area and progress.
Part 4: Final Boss Fight
Continue through the cargo area, and you'll eventually trigger a final confrontation.
🥋 Boss Fight 2: Kanji Koshimizu
This is the final confrontation of the chapter. Koshimizu is a quick, tough fighter and a worthy opponent.
Heal Up: Use this brief moment before the fight to heal up to full health.
Strategy: Koshimizu fights similarly to Someya, relying on quick strikes and blocking.
Grapples: Unlike Han and Someya, Koshimizu dodges less often than he blocks, making grabs and throwing him a surprisingly effective way to start a combo or setup a Heat Action.
Extreme Heat Aggression: This is a good fight to use your Extreme Heat Mode aggressively. Activate it, close the distance, and start tapping your combo attack (Square/X). The Heat Rush combo, if upgraded, will knock down a huge chunk of his health before he can recover. Use your Extreme Heat strategically twice if possible.
Parry/Dodge: If not in Extreme Heat, stick to the tried-and-true method: lateral Quicksteps to get behind him after a combo, then land a quick hit or two before retreating.
QTE: Watch out for a Quick Time Event (QTE) when his health drops below 50%.
Defeating Koshimizu completes the action sequences and leads into the final dramatic cutscenes of Chapter 10.
